Welcome to the first issue of The Checklist. the Official Newspaper of the United National Congress, the party which I am proud to lead.
Through The Checklist. the UNC will continue its crucial role in defending and maintaining the Democracy of Trinidad and Tobago by keeping the Government in check.
The Checklist. will keep citizens up to date on the aims, policies and activities of our party, and our many hardworking activists, Parliamentarians and supporters.
The Checklist. will ensure that we are all on the same page in going forward in our great party’s mission to save Trinidad and Tobago.
The UNC is here to give our population hope in this time of despair for so many. We know that the darkness can never defeat the Light.
Under my leadership, the UNC will continue to fight for your rights, for your livelihoods, for your freedom and for your voices to be heard.
Government exists only for the benefit of the people. The people must never be exploited or suppressed for the benefit of the Government. The UNC exists to make sure that this is the case.
I want to thank all the activists and volunteers that made the launch of this newspaper possible. Our great party is built on the work of love by people like you.
Thanks also to the Public Relations and Publicity Standing Committee, whose officers are diligent and hard-working.
