Why? More Failed $ For Ministries!

AT a time when there is high unemployment and suffering, the Government is allocating huge sums to several ministries for use until the end of the fiscal year in September.

Ministers in these portfolios have not made a difference in the quality of life with their initial allocations.

The Minister of National Security, which already has the single largest slice of the national budget, is being assigned a further $128.9 million, while the Ministry of Finance is receiving $313.7 million.

A massive $693 million is being allocated to the Ministry of Health, $600 million to the Ministry of Energy, and $300 million to the Ministry of Works and Transport.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services is being allocated $348.1 million, and the office of the Prime Minister would receive $125.5 million.

The Ministries of Housing, Education, Foreign Affairs, Sports, and others are also getting increased budgets.

These assignments would cost taxpayers $3.8 billion at a time when the Rowley Government continues to operate deficit budgets and there are continuous shortfalls in revenues.
